City crews are preparing for tonight’s threat of winter weather. Workers are pre-salting major City roads, intersections, andbrining bridges in advance of the predicted freezing rain and sleet.

City officials are keeping an eye on the situation and pre-positioning crews to be able to respond appropriately to changing weather conditions. Salt and sand spreaders are loaded and ready to go.

All City recreation Centers will close by 7 p.m. tonight. The Greenville Aquatics and Fitness Center will reopen no earlier than 8 a.m. Tuesday. The fourth level of the Fourth Street Parking Garage has been closed as a precautionary measure.

Any delays or closures to City offices, programs, or services will be announced on the City’s Facebook page, Twitter accounts (GNC_CityInfo and GNC_CityAlerts), the City’s website (greenvillenc.gov), and the City’s cable channel (GTV9).
