GREENVILLE, NC -- Greenville residents will have an opportunity to learn about the results of the Citywide Watershed Master Plan at a public Open House on Tuesday, November 17, 2015.  The event will be held at City Hall in the Third Floor Gallery from 4 pm to 7pm.  Attendees may attend any time during these hours and visit multiple stations specific to their concerns or interests.

During the Open House, information will be made available on the  system-wide stormwater inventory which includes the current location and condition of existing infrastructure and the projects identified for flood control, water quality and streambank stabilization .  Attendees will have the opportunity to learn how everyday activities, weather conditions, population shifts, and development activities impact the City’s creeks, rivers, ponds, and lakes.   In addition, feedback received during the process from residents and other stakeholders will be shared.

The City’s Stormwater Management Program initiated the citywide process 15 months ago for six of the City’s seven watersheds. The goals of the program are to recommend and prioritize projects that will control existing flooding, stabilize streams and improve overall water quality in the City and adjacent areas.
