The City of Greenville is hosting a public unveiling of the draft of the City's new community plan, Horizons 2026. The plan covers land use and development, transportation, parks and recreation, historic preservation, environmental
protection, and other citywide topics.

The meeting will be held on Monday, June 20, from 6-8 p.m. at the Greenville Convention Center located at 303 SW Greenville Boulevard. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend the event and provide their input on Greenville's future.

The drafting of the plan has included several opportunities for public engagement. Public contribution has included major public workshops last September and November, stakeholder meetings, and regular meetings of a committee of citizens-the Comprehensive Planning Committee-that served as a sounding board during the drafting of the plan. Now the draft of the plan is being shared with the public for review and comment.

The draft plan for Greenville's future sets out several big ideas for the City: improving the quality of development in Greenville, supporting a more walkable and livable community that promotes health and safety, capitalizing on economic strengths through focused public investments and efforts, and undertaking fiscally efficient ways of managing and serving growth.

During the meeting, citizens will have the opportunity to learn about the progress on Horizons 2026 and view the full draft of the plan. The objective of the meeting is to gain input from citizens on the goals and implementation strategies of the plan. There will be multiple opportunities to engage with the material through interactive exercises.

Attendance to this event does not require pre-registration. Members of the public may also learn about the project, provide feedback and ideas, and sign up for project updates on the Horizons 2026 website.
