Where can I purchase a cemetery lot?
Cemetery lots, mausoleum spaces, and cremation niches are available for sale in Homestead Cemetery, and a limited number of four-grave cemetery lots are available for sale in Greenwood Cemetery. The purchase price is $550 per lot for City residents and $750 per lot for persons living outside of the City limits. Inside cremation niches are available in Homestead Cemetery for $1750. Homestead Cemetery also has mausoleum spaces available. An inside mausoleum space is $5000 for City residents and $5200 for people living outside of the City; outside mausoleum spaces are $2500 for City residents and $2700 for people living outside of the City; and Hillside West mausoleum spaces in Homestead Cemetery are available for $2000 for City residents and $2200 for people living outside of the City. Persons desiring to purchase a lot, mausoleum space or cremation niche may do so from the Public Works Department located at 1500 Beatty Street. |

Cemetery records are maintained at the Public Works Department, 1500 Beatty Street. Records are available for individuals buried in Brownhill, Cherry Hill, Greenwood and Homestead Cemeteries since 1984. |

What is the process for citizens who want to speak at a City Council meeting?
Any item that is listed on the City Council agenda as a public hearing provides citizens an opportunity to speak either for or against the item under consideration. A Public Comment Period will be included as an item of business on the agenda for the City Council meeting held on the second Thursday of each month. If a person wishes to speak during the Public Comment Period regarding a topic that is not on the agenda or is not a public hearing item, he/she may register with the City Clerk prior to the opening of the meeting by writing his/her name, address, and a short description of his/her topic. The sign-up sheet will be located on a podium at the entrance to the Council Chambers. Speakers will be limited to three minutes.
