Mark your calendars for October 24 - 27, 2009 as Eastern North Carolina will host the NCLM 2009 Conference. Elected officials and local leaders from across the state will converge on Greenville for the 101st conference.
The North Carolina League of Municipalities is a nonpartisan association of more than 540 municipalities in North Carolina. The mission of the League is to enhance the quality of life in municipalities through excellent municipal governance. Greenville has been part of the organization since its inception in 1908 (as the Carolina Municipal Association) and has had three Mayors serve as the Association's President.
Greenville is proud to join our partners at Pitt County Government, East Carolina University, the Towns of Winterville, Farmville, and Ayden as well as the City of Washington in bringing the Conference to the region. This regional approach to the Conference reflects the need for governments and other agencies to work together to create solutions and make life better for all our citizens.
