The Administrative Division provides the overall oversight and supervision of activities within the Community Development department. The department consists of four divisions: Administration, Planning, Office of Economic Development, and Housing.
The Administrative Division develops the departmental budget, policies, operating procedures. The Director of the Community Development Department heads the Administrative Division. The Administrative Division advises the City Council, the City Manager, the Planning & Zoning Commission, and the Redevelopment Commission on planning-related activities. The Neighborhood Improvement Grant was developed to encourage neighborhood associations to identify projects that will benefit the entire neighborhood.
