City of Greenville Public Transit

Greenville Area Transit (GREAT) operates fixed-route service for the City of Greenville, including service to Pitt Community College.  Hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday.  There is no service on Sunday or certain City holidays.

Regular adult fare is $1.00 per one-way trip.  Persons 65 or older and those individuals with certain disabilities ride for a reduced fare of 50 cents.   A Medicare card is accepted as sufficient documentation for the reduced fare identification card that can be obtained at the Public Works Department, 1500 Beatty Street.  Transfers are free.  Multiple ride passes are available at the Public Works Department.  Day passes are available from any bus driver for $2.00 dollars and are valid for day of purchase only. City of Greenville ADA Paratransit Service

Greenville Area Transit (GREAT) provides ADA paratransit service within a ¾ mile corridor of the regular fixed bus routes.  This curb-to-curb van service is provided for GREAT though the Pitt Area Transit System (PATS).  Riders must be certified as eligible by GREAT.  Hours of operation are the same as the fixed route GREAT service.  There is no service on Sunday or certain City holidays.  The fare is $2.00 per one-way trip and exact fare is required.  Multiple ride passes are available at the Public Works Department, 1500 Beatty Street.  For more information, please contact:

Pitt Area Transit System (PATS)

Pitt Area Transit System (PATS) is operated by Pitt County and provides human service and Rural General Public (RGP) transportation in Pitt County.  In addition, PATS provides ADA Paratransit Service for Greenville Area Transit (GREAT ).  Hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. East Carolina University Student Transit Authority

East Carolina University Student Transit Authority (ECUSTA) provides transit service to ECU students, faculty, staff, and visitors.  Service is provided to, from and around the ECU campus, off-campus housing areas, and several shopping/service areas.  There is no fare as student fees support transit.  You will need a valid ECU One Card to ride.  There is no service for the general public.

ECUSTA operates during the academic year, beginning the first day of class of each semester and summer school session.  Note that there is a reduced service area during the summer sessions.  Please pick up a summer schedule during summer school.  ECUSTA does not operate during school breaks.  For up-to-date bus information, dial ECU-BUS1 (328-2871)

The GREAT bus serves the City of Greenville.  Discount passes can be purchased at the Central Ticket Office in Mendenhall Student Center with a valid ECU One Card.  For GREAT scheduling information, call 329-4532.  For more information, please contact:

Amtrak Shuttle Service

Amtrak now offers shuttle service between Greenville and the Wilson train station. Now you can ride the rails in comfort to/from Greenville. Book your tickets via Amtrak's website.

Intercity Bus Service

Greyhound Bus Lines provides scheduled intercity bus service to the Greenville terminal located at Zanco Gift Shop at 1403 Dickinson Avenue, Greenville, NC.
