Dream Dog Park Contest Could Net $500,000 For Dog Park

Tennis ball dispenser, wading pool with fountains, doggie obstacle course; if you can dream it, you may win it for everyone. The City of Greenville is encouraging every dog lover to dream big and enter your ideas in a contest for a $500,000 dream dog park.

Purina Beneful® is running a nation-wide contest to help someone make their dog park more fun. The rules seem simple enough:

Write a short essay (250 words or less) that tells us what you would do if you had $500,000 to create a dream dog park, then add a picture of you and your buddy that shows how life is better together. If you're selected as a Finalist, you'll be asked to create an Entry video to accompany your essay and photo.

The winner will inspire the $500,000 makeover of a dog park in their area, and will also receive $10,000 and a year's supply of Beneful® brand Dry Dog Food.

So start dreaming, and tell us your most creative ideas for making a park $500,000 more fun.

“This is a great opportunity for anyone and everyone who loves dogs to help make what is already a very good dog park here in Greenville even better,” said Recreation Superintendent Shana Kriewall.
