City Council Adopts FY 2012-2013 Budget
After a several-month process, the Greenville City Council approved the FY 2012-2013 Budget and 2013-2014 Plan at its June 14 meeting.
Highlights include:
- Balanced budget
- No change in tax rate
- Decreased tax revenue of 2.1 Million (due to property revaluation)
- Maintain municipal services
- Sanitation fees: 11.75 curbside & multifamily, 40.80 backyard
- Raise for City Council salaries
- Raise for City employees for 2012-2013, no raises for 2013-2014
- Minor tweaks: More money for:
- Uptown Greenville
- Street Lighting
- City’s Economic Development Plan
