GREENVILLE, N.C. - The City of Greenville has completed all of the work associated with the 2018 Street Resurfacing Project that included more than 27 lane miles of City streets being upgraded in 2018.

Council voted in June to award a $4.40-million contract to Rose Brothers Paving Company, Inc., of Ahoskie, N.C., for the resurfacing project. The project included the resurfacing of 27.1 lane miles of City streets, as well as milling, deep patch repairs, ADA ramp upgrades, upgraded signal detection equipment, and pavement markings.
Among the major thoroughfares that were resurfaced as part of the project were:
  • East Fifth Street (from Holly Street to East Tenth Street)
  • East Arlington Boulevard (SE Greenville Boulevard to Red Banks Road)
  • Hooker Road (Greenbrier Drive to Horseshoe Drive)
  • Red Banks Road (East Arlington Boulevard to Charles Boulevard)
Work began in the summer and was completed last week. A map of all of the streets that were included in the project is posted below. With the completion of this contract, the City has improved nearly 120 lane miles of roadway since 2013.
