In observance of Fair Housing Month, the City of Greenville and their partners will sponsor two fair housing seminars.   The seminars are:

  • The first seminar, designed for Property Managers/Landlord,  is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9th at 9:00 am.The seminar will take place at the Hilton in Greenville, North Carolina.The presenters are Mr. Gene Troy with the Civil Rights Division of the North Carolina Human Relations Commission in Raleigh, North Carolina, Attorney Chris Loebsack of Loebsack & Brownlee, PLLC in Charlotte, North Carolina, and Ms. Rebekah Thurston, Life Safety Educator with the City's Fire/Rescue Department. The city’s partners are: GAPMA (Greenville Area Property Managers Association), HUD (Housing and Urban Development), North Carolina Human Relations Commission and Loebsack & Brownlee, PLLC
  • The second seminar, designed exclusively for tenants,  scheduled for Tuesday, April 23rd at 11:30 am.The seminar will take place at the Greenville Housing Authority (Training Center).The presenter is Mr. Gene Troy with the Civil Rights Division of the North Carolina Human Relations Commission in Raleigh, North Carolina.The city’s partners are:HUD (Housing and Urban Development) Greenville Housing Authority, Greenville Human Relations Council and North Carolina Human Relations Commission.

The Tuesday, April 9th fair housing seminar for property managers/landlords is free to our partners (GAMPA members, City of Greenville Senior Management team, elected officials and HUD representatives).   If you or your agency/organization is not listed, there is a $20 fee to attend.    Registration is required.   Registration deadline is Thursday, April 5, 2019.
