Our Mission

The City of Greenville Public Information Office exists to promote, enhance the knowledge of, and build trust in City services, programs, and initiatives.

Our Vision

Through collaboration with City departments and the community, the City of Greenville Public Information Office will be a trusted and respected source of clear, concise, timely, and engaging communication about City services, programs, and initiatives, delivered through a variety of multimedia sources.

The Public Information Office, a division of the City Manager's Office, is responsible for disseminating information about the City through a variety of methods including publications, the Government Access Channel (GTV-9), videos, flyers, radio shows, news releases, weekly City Page ads, sanitation bills, social media sites, and this website.

The Communications Manager is also the manager of the City's brand and is responsible for ensuring the consistent use of the brand. Questions about the brand and use of the City's logo should be directed to the Communications Manager.

The Public Information Office promotes City events and services, publicizes and releases government news and information to the public, and often serves as the official liaison for the City of Greenville. The Public Information Office is open and available to the public during normal working hours, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday.

Our staff has won numerous awards from the North Carolina City & County Communicators (NC3C) and the City, County Communications Marketing Association (3CMA).
