Temperatures have been closing in on 90 degrees. Memorial Day is now behind us. Sunday in the Park and the end of school are just ahead. All that remains for summer to officially be here, are the summer solstice and for the Community Pool and Splashpoint to open. Both facilities will open for the summer season on Saturday, May 30.

The Community Pool is located at 2113 Myrtle Avenue (behind Guy Smith Stadium) and will be open on Saturdays only from May 30 through June 13, then open Monday through Saturday from June 15 through August 14.  Hours will be Monday to Friday from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.  The pool is not open on Sundays.
