Below are the presentations given to the City Council during their 2013 Annual Planning Session, held Friday and Saturday, January 25 and 26, 2013.

Ron Kimble Presentation - a look at how Charlotte has redeveloped their Center City; a look at the projects, how they accomplished them, and paid for them. An emphasis is placed on building partnerships as well as utilizing public dollars wisely to leverage private investment.

City's Financial Update and Trends  - a look at the City's current financial state.

Development and Tax Base Presentation  - a look at how and where development has been occuring in the city over the past five years, and its impact on the tax base.

Opportunities for Economic Development  - this interactive .pdf is a look at several areas of the city, showing projects which are in the works as well as visions and ideas for other areas. When using this map, please click on the various areas to get more detail about what is/could be going on with regard to redevelopment and growth. Some items shown are plans (like various master plans) while others show ideas, concepts, and visions of what could be. Please make sure to hover over the map key when available.

Rebuilding the Base - Transportation and Road Projects  - a look at what the needs are to repair the City's streets (not State roads) and build sidewalks around the city.
