The City of Greenville is continuing to monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and take appropriate steps to limit the spread of the virus. City offices are currently open from 9 a.m.-noon on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and from 1 p.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

While the City's offices are currently closed to the public, the City of Greenville Building Inspections Division will continue to perform inspection duties as needed until further notice. If you currently have a permit and need an inspection, you may schedule that inspection online using the Citizens Self Service website . Permit applications can be submitted electronically. All documentation for the permit will also need to be submitted electronically. Building permit fees can be paid online. This documentation will need to include all required construction plans, plot plans, lien agents and other drawings that would be associated with the permit. It is the goal of the Inspections Division to protect the safety and well-being of the citizens within the City of Greenville and its Extra Territorial Jurisdiction (ETJ), and to support development by providing building permit service and enforcement of the North Carolina State Building Codes.
