**Notice of Public Hearing**
The Greenville City Council will conduct a public hearing on August 18, 2022, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall (200 West Fifth Street) to receive public comment on the following:
A FY 22/23 Section 5307 grant application for operating and capital assistance from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) in the amount of $874,820 (operating) and $1,000,000 (capital) for the Greenville Area Transit System.
At the hearing, the City Council will afford an opportunity for interested persons to be heard with respect to social, environmental and economic aspects of the grant application. All comments will be considered, and if deemed appropriate, the proposed grant application may be modified accordingly. If no comments are received, the Proposed Program of Projects will become the final Program of Projects.
A copy of the grant application with the detailed Program of Projects and the Transportation Improvement Program for the area will be available for public inspection in G.K. Butterfield Center, 600 South Pitt Street, from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. weekdays. For more information, call the Transit office at (252) 329-4047.
