City of Greenville Non-Profit Funding Mandatory Workshop
The City of Greenville Neighborhood & Business Services Department - Community Development Division will hold its annual mandatory Non-Profit Funding Workshop for the 2026 Funding Year on two dates at different times. Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at 11:00am and Thursday 25, 2025 at 6:00pm.
The first session will be held in person on the 24th from 11:00am to 1:00pm on the 3rd Floor of City Hall (200 West Fifth Street) in rooms 328 and 329. The second session will be held the evening of the 25th via Microsoft Teams from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
This workshop is designed to advise Non-Profit Organizations on the U.S. Housing and Urban Development guidelines. Non-Profit Organizations are required to follow these guidelines when applying for funds from the City of Greenville as sub-recipients. It is mandatory that a representative from any non-profit organization planning to complete an application attend one of the scheduled meeting times in order for that non-profit organization to be eligible to apply for funding.

The 2026 Fiscal Year Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Sub-recipient Program Funding Application will be provided below after the Non-Profit Workshop:
The City of Greenville will make available funds to assist nonprofit organizations with approved public service activities. Qualified agencies will participate in projects that benefit citizens of the City of Greenville. Nonprofit housing and service providers must assist the under-served populations of the City. Applications from nonprofits are submitted to the city for consideration annually and reviewed by the Affordable Housing Loan Committee. The activities will assist low-income persons, homeless and special needs persons, youth development, victims of family/domestic violence, and housing providers. The next mandatory workshop for applicants will be announced once scheduled.
