Greenville/ Pitt Senior Games
Encourages adults 50 and older to develop a healthier lifestyle by becoming more involved in physical fitness and social programs. The Greenville/Pitt County Senior Games offer athletic competition in over 20 different sports, also included are the SilverStriders Walking Program and all categories of the SilverArts component.
The department offers programs such as Exercise in the park in the spring(April & May) and Fall(September & October) at the Town Common on Thursday evenings at 6pm. We also offer chair aerobics & aerobics. All classes are modified to meet the needs of all participants, whether you are a beginner or advanced participant.
Technology based courses such as: iPhone & iPad courses, Social media, google maps, and photo editing/sharing courses. Registration for fall iPhone classes is going on now. All courses are interactive classes and offer hands on learning.
We also offer Bridge Classes (Beginner, Intermediate, & Advanced), Bingo, Card & Board Games; North Carolina Association of Senior Citizens Club Meetings (Southside & Moyewood).
