Four Greenville residents will realize the dream of home ownership after the Greenville City Council approved the sale of four City-owned properties in the Lincoln Park neighborhood on Thursday night.
During its regular meeting, the Council unanimously approved the sale of properties at 616 Hudson Street, 618 Hudson Street, 620 Hudson Street, and 806 Vanderbilt Lane. The homes were among six constructed for $1.2 million by Bill Clark Homes as part of the second phase of an affordable housing initiative that began in 2019. Phase 1 was completed in 2021 and included four homes for $485,000.
The City of Greenville's Neighborhood and Business Services Housing Division partnered with Bill Clark Homes in the initiative. The homes were sold for prices in the mid to low $200,000s and ranged from 1,258 to 1,375 square feet.
