Improvements to the Greenfield Terrace Barnes-Ebron-Taft Community Center were revealed on June 4 during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the park.
Members of the public joined City staff at the event, which culminated nine months of construction. Improvements included a complete renovation of the interior and the addition of 1,000 square feet. Additionally, the parking lot was paved, playground equipment was replaced, the basketball court was renovated, and there were landscaping improvements.
Construction on the project was completed for $1.2 million. The project was one of several approved by the City Council to be funded through the American Rescue Plan Act.
